Project Profiles

Engineering and project management services
Contracted as part of the clients engineering management team to support the closeout of the design phase and help prevent design change for a new facility being built in Berkshire.

Mechanical Handling System and shield doors
Project Management service supporting a nuclear manufacturing business in the delivery of several contracts for a high profile client. Responsible for the delivery and commercial outturn, including subcontractor negotiations for final accounts. This was for the detailed design, manufacture and installation of a mechanical handling system, shield and security doors as part of a nuclear new build facility.

Materials Detritiation Facility (MDF)

Project Management service responsible for the delivery and commercial outturn, including subcontractor negotiations for final accounts. This was a detailed design, manufacture and installation of the ventilation plant, ductwork, fume cupboards and process line to protect operators from tritium dose, radiological contamination and beryllium contamination within an experimental detritiation facility. The process line is capable of extracting exhaust gasses from a thermal process, catalysing these gasses and capturing any catalysed tritium oxide (HTO) in a series of water bubblers.The tritiated water is then taken away for tritium recovery. This process closes out the fusion fuel cycle.
